Our Story

MedicubeX's story began in 2016, when co-founders Heikki Rautajoki and Vili Kostamo first met during a research project on non-invasive diabetes screening, funded by the Academy of Finland and coordinated by VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland.

United by a shared enthusiasm for this technology, the co-founders began their journey toward establishing MedicubeX. After three years of preparation, MedicubeX was officially founded in March 2020, with Vili Kostamo, M.D., taking the role of CEO. The team dedicated the next three years to product development.

Following a highly successful first clinical pilot in Helsinki in April 2023, MedicubeX experienced rapid adoption. We have since grown from a promising startup into an established international partner, with active operations across Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Germany, and the UK. Our focus remains on driving fast international growth and continuing to innovate at the forefront of preventative healthcare technology.

Our vision is to make preventive healthcare affordable and universally accessible, regardless of location. We are driven to proactively prevent as many diseases as possible. Additionally, we are determined to address the global nursing shortage by automating resources and optimizing healthcare delivery.
